The Messenger of Allah (saw) said, “In the month of Ramadan the gates of paradise are opened. The gates of Hell closed and all devil chained up. (Imam Bukhari)

From the creation of Islam, Muslims read the Quran through fasting in the month of Ramadan. By reading the Quran the believer relish the advantage of direct communication with the inventor of the Universe. The Quran is also a Huda. Muhammad (saw) said:” whoever mankind fasts during Ramadan to get a reward from Allah and pray for his sins that he made in the past would be forgiven by Allah Almighty”. (Imam Bukhari).

Abdullah ibn Amr informed that Muhammad (saw), said: “The fast and the Qur’an will play a very important role on the Day of rebirth. The fast will say: ‘O Lord, I disallowed him from his foodstuff and wishes during the daytime. Let me negotiate for him.’ The Qur’an will say: ‘I disallowed him from sleeping at nighttime. Let me negotiate for him.’ And their arbitration will be acknowledged.” [Imam Ahmad]   

The Merit of Fasting

Of all the pillars of Islam, fasting is more special than others. The only One Who knows that you are refraining from food and drink is Allah, the Almighty. All Muslims who have good health and reached teens is necessary to fast. The sick and over-aged person can leave fast but in the future, they need to pay funds in the shape of help feed the poor or fast again when they feel free.

The first pre-dawn meal of the day during Ramadan is called “suhoor.” Each day’s fast is broken with a meal known as “iftar.” Traditionally, a date is eaten to break the fast. When you are going to break your fast its time of Iftar and that time you celebrate with your family or friends. At the time of Iftar different types of foods served according to the culture.

Also in this month, Muslim social activities changed. During this month a dramatic change in humans, he tries every time to recite the Holy Quran and offer prayers regularly. The whole model of private and public places timing changed in this month.

  • You should try to stay more time Masjid and avoid going to theaters. 
  • If you have a smoking habit than try to curb this habit before the Ramadan.
  • Try to read the holy Quran read holy books instead of listing songs or music.
  • If you feel free and you are going to play games then stop it and spend your time to worship God is better than playing cards.
  • For those who enjoy picnics to enjoy social outings, apply a break on this habit before Ramadan.
  • If you found your friend who does not know about Islam try to teach him, Islam?
  •  If you travel to find a job do not go far and spend more time with your family and try to do local business. 
  • If you are a late-night sleeper than change your habit go to bed early so you wake up at a time of Sahar and offer the prayer of Tahajjud.  
  • Evaluate yourself daily before going to sleep. Thank Allah for the good deeds you have done, and apologize to Him for the mistake you have made.
  • In this holy month remembers Allah through Zikr: Tasbeeh (Subhaan Allah), Takbeer (Allahu Akbar), Tahmeed (Al-hamdu Lillah) and Tahleel (La ilaha ill-Allah).
  • This month start giving Charity as you can.
  • Make your time to pray Duha Salat, Qiyam Al-Layl and Tahajjud.
  • Find time to help others with your knowledge.
  • Try to instruct Muslims and non-Muslims through commentary.
  • Attach yourself with Muslim scholars, Hafiz, and other Ulama so that you will be able to learn from them.
  • Train yourself to do well and render services free of charge to others.

Laylat al-Qadr

Laylat Al Qadr Means the night of power when the Quran revealed on Prophet Muhammad (SAW) by Allah. Quran says about this one night is better than a thousand months. Muslim people do worship God and Seeking for His reward during “Laylat al-Qadr” or “the Night of Destiny.” It comes on the third behalf of Ramadan, which cataracts during the last 10 nights of Ramadan that Muslims consider that God sent the Angel Gabriel (A.S) to the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and revealed the first verses of the Quran.

End of Ramzan

The three day Eid festival marks the end of Ramzan. All Muslims around the world prepare for the Eid festival at the end of Ramzan.

Eid ul fit means the end of breaking the fast. Traditionally, the celebration of Eid remains for three days depending on country law.

After the sighting of the new month, Eid is confirmed on televisions, radio stations, and mosques.


People start the Eid day by offering Eid prayers. After Eid prayer people meet and congratulate each other. People give Zakat to the poor people and we all know that Zakat is the fifth pillar of Islam.  People are offering Eid Prayer.

Allah gives His mercy upon those who themselves are merciful to others.s
